Yosemite’s Firefall only happens for a few short days each February. Many years are either too dry, or too cold, or too overcast for Firefall to happen. There needs to have been enough snowfall, but then be warm enough for the snow to melt for Horsetail Falls to be active, and then the sun needs a clear view of the falls at the right angle to light it up orange in the few minutes prior to sunset. I was lucky enough to experience it and capture it on one night in 2019.
